Kriebel Farmstead Display
The Kriebel Farmstead is located on Kriebel Road in Hereford Township. It was built by the Greisemer family in the mid to late 1700s. It came under the ownership of Israel Kriebel in the early 1830s. A grist mill was constructed on the property in 1837. The farm was unique in many ways,, not only for the inventiveness and farming practices of the Kriebel ownership over the years, but also for the varied crops, including the raising of trout, the manufacture of linseed oil, and the grinding of grains in the mill.
We have complied a book entitled "Early Times in Hereford Township" that is comprised of over 300 pages of pictures ranging from the 1850's to the late 1950's. Thanks to all who contributed!
